Auslogics Disk Defrag – Compact and Fast Defragmenter
The hard disk is one of the most important components of a computer system, as it directly influences its performance and stability. This is why you should defragment the hard disk from time to time, to ensure that it's working at maximum performance. Unfortunately, the Windows default tool for defragmenting hard disks is not that good and efficient, as it doesn't defragment the hard disk properly.
In this situation, you could use Auslogics Disk Defrag, which is an alternative to Windows Disk Defragmenter, offering more features and a higher efficiency. After installing and running the software, the user will be presented with a simple and graphical interface, which offers quick access to all the program's features.
Before defragmenting, you can just analyze your hard disk partitions, so you can know how fragmented they are. The fragmentation level is displayed in a graphical way and also as numerical values. What's more, in the lower part of the interface, you can see an advise regarding defragmentation, as the program can establish if defragmentation is required or not.
When defragmenting, you can choose several modes. The quick defrag mode is faster, but doesn't produce the same results as the regular defragmentation process. While the defragmentation process is in progress, you will be able to view the state of your hard disk partitions in real time, as a colored graph. Colors are used as symbols in this situation, to be able to better see fragmented and optimized areas of your hard disk.
Pros:
It includes several defragmentation modes. Besides that, the fragmentation level can be displayed in a graphical way and also as numerical values. Furthermore, it can automatically shut down the PC after the process is complete.
Cons:
The free version cannot be used in a commercial way.
Auslogics Disk Defrag allows you to efficiently and quickly defragment your hard disk, for obtaining best performance and stability.
